On September 8, the Valdese Les Phare des Alpes will host the 2018 North Carolina State Bocce Championship. Twelve qualifying bocce teams from Raleigh, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Western North Carolina will compete in the event. The double elimination competition begins at 9:30am on the clay courts at the Valdese Les Phare des Alpes, 301 Laurel Street SE, and continues throughout the day. The event is free and open to the public with food and beverages being offered. The tournament will take place rain or shine.
